Barnard Mandarin Immersion Parent Meeting
On Friday March 13th in the auditorium, we held our quarterly Mandarin Immersion Meeting for Parents.
Julie Li, our Immersion coordinator presented parents with the most updated information regarding our awesome program. Topics covered during this meeting include professional development, assessment information, curriculum updates, and teacher recruitment.

Family Friday
Parents, please join us for Family Friday on March 6. Friday is our "Read Across America" day to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. Students can come dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. The Cat in the Hat may even show up!!!
Barnard Students Celebrate "Year of the Sheep" Chinese New Year

Barnard Students Celebrate  "Year of the Sheep"  Chinese New Year On Wednesday, February 25th, Barnard Students performed Chinese song and dance to welcome in the Year of the Sheep.
With much enthusiasm and high energy in the air, parents and community members were treated to our students starting from our cute TK students to our 6th graders performing their hearts out for our annual event. In addition, the finale took place outside where Coach MJ and her students showcased Chinese tradition of fan dancing, Chinese Jumprope, Martial Arts to our entire student body. The program concluded with the Three Treasures Cultural Society performing their exhilarating Lion Dance to the hard pounding beat of the drums to welcome in the new year.

Our event was covered by numerous media organizations such as KUSI morning show with Brad Perry, NBC 7, KPBS, and Spanish Channel Televisa.
