4th Annual Passport to China Year of the Dragon Community Celebration

Over 700 people came from all over San Diego County to celebrate Passport to China Year of the Dragon event at Barnard past Saturday. Various performing arts group from the Asian Community in San Diego shared their culture through music, dance, and martial arts to welcome in the Lunar New Year.

Barnard marked the Year of the Dragon on Wed. Feb. 1st with a huge celebration of student performances, parents, Chinese community guests, District guests, Chongqing School in China students and Three Treasures Lion Dance.

We are very proud and pleased to annouce the Barnard Teacher of the Year is.....drum roll.....Mao Laoshi - Sally Lowe. Mrs. Lowe is our Kindergarten Teacher in K-1.
Our 5th Grader Wins Prestigious Tennis Tournament

We are very proud of all our students and their accomplishments. We are especially proud of our 5th grader, Zlata Bobyr, who won the consolation Final of the Little Mo International Tennis Tournament

Resolution in Recognition of Barnard Mandarin Chinese Magnet School was unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees at SDUSD!

Barnard's future as a Pacific Rim Language Academy was unanimously approved by the San Diego Unified School District's board Tuesday.
